I'll have to second everything that Gray said. When I first played the Miraphone Sousaphones at Tech I was really impressed. They respond and play a lot like *real* tubas, and have that definitive Miraphone Sound when played properly(which wasn't very often by us). They were highly uncomfortable though, they had a strange bit-configuration... I don't know if we were using the actual Miraphone leadpipe bits, or some other generic bits. As a result of these "weird" bits, we had to hold the horn unconvenionally... it was something we got used to though.
