I play a Conn 2 on my Willson EEb and find I have no real limit to range with it. It is about the same as a Conn 7B but with a fuller rim. It gives a good solid foundation tone and a lovely upper register. I have also used a Conn 3 on EEb tubas and get a lighter
sound, not too much bottom register, though.
