Hi all,

Fletch used a Besson 'New Standard' EEb tuba on the RVW recording.
The 'ex-works' New Standard was supplied with a 15" bell, but John asked B&H to fit a 19"
(and a straight lead pipe).
This tuba eventually became the 'Imperial' (you can see a photo of the prototype on my website gallery) it later developed into the Besson 981 (the lead pipe has since been put back into the higher position).
I'm prety sure he used a VB 24AW m/p - although at other times he used the large 'vase' shaped Conn m/p.

Hope this helps.
