Hey fellow Tower dude - I missed the Maazel Prokofiev 5th first time around on vinyl, so I'm looking forward to hearing it on CD. A copy is sitting in my office cubby. I'm with you on the Cinderella, which is led by Ashkenazy btw. But Romeo? Another engineering problem for me. Miked for B I G sound, and no real presence. Like a lot of Decca/Londons of the mid 70s. That makes the Previn/EMI the winner for me. Besides its BEING Fletcher, he's miked to be heard, in context, and what a context! But I really want to like the Maazel 5th.
