Well, I wouldn't say I "lionized" it...I just really like the playing better than any other recording I've heard although I don't (yet) have this Cleveland one. I am in total agreement about the sound - I don't like it much either. I didn't mention it before because I generally shy away from the audiophile talk on this forum. It's too bad the sound guys screwed this one up...if it only had that early RCA or Mercury sound it would be perfect.
Also, the question still stands for now...who played the tuba part?
