But, practically, I don't think the physics of your tubes will get the note out. I have a similar "problem" on a 5 valve Willson EEb and stopped worrying about it long ago. The
other note you mention is probably (AT) a Pedal BB or BBb. The BBS had quite a discussion on priviledged tones a while back and you might want to search for the thread. On a 3 valved large old (1912) Conn EEb, I can get, chromatically down to low BBBb and it is well in tune, by and large. Most other experienced tubists can do this, too, but it requires these priviledged tones. You don't have much reason to play them on a 4 or 5 valved horn so you might not have practiced them, overly, but they are there, after BB natural.
