I'm on the side of the 3 ring binder with sleeves, and here's why. Two or more page music is a reality no matter what system you use. Using the binder and protectors, two pages are easy, just put the first page on the left, the second page on the right. Three or more pages does require page turning, but it's a lot easier, for me at least, to turn a page that is in a sleeve with one hand while holding my tuba with the other especially when playing out of doors. I just a clothes pin or two to keep it from blowing. Music is always in order. Use small post-its with tune numbers on the top of the first page so you don't have to write on the chart. Only downside is that personal notations on the music is hard to do quickly as you must remove the sheet from the protector. I have a play book with about 170 charts and this is the slickest way I've ever found. At least this works well for me. Just remember when you number the charts, to go by chart number, not page numbers like a book.
