I recently tried playing along with Jim Self's CD "Changing Colors" and noticed that I was quite sharp compared to him (while playing Schumann's "Scenes from Childhood"). When I checked myself with a tuner I was mostly in tune and he was flat. Does anyone know if he could be tuning to a lower frequency? Could this be why his sound is so dark?
