A few years ago I went to look at a baritone that was in the paper, and I ended up in a trailer park where an older couple had a collection of what must have been hundreds of instruments. They didn't play, but just liked instruments. They had a bell-front tuba of some kind that is the biggest thing I have ever seen. It was literally almost as tall as I am...I can't imagine even trying to hold the thing, much less play it. They had it carefully covered in plastic, displayed prominently with another that was almost as big. When these people go, their heirs are going to have to have one hell of an auction. I hope I'm there for it...but I'll need a truck!
