When the Meridian Arts Ensemble came to town, they closed with "The Black Page" (an infamous Zappa drum solo... actually, they played the New Age Version of it). It could have been the most inaccessible thing that night, but they instructed the audience to clap once on beat 4 of every other bar. Not wanting to leave them behind, the group cued every clap, and in a pretty entertaining fashion, too. The audience was baffled but really did enjoy it (and everything in the "Page" was spot-on, too!).
