Matt has done SEVERAL tubas/upgrades/repairs for me and his work is always incredible! The latest is a Buescher that started out as a 3 valve top action BBb instrument and is now a 5 rotary valve CC. I recently had the honor of playing with the Chicago Symphony (2nd tuba on Varese "Ameriques") and got rave comments. Finally, at the dress rehearsal, Gene played it and was knocked out. I'm hanging on to this one!!
We are all lucky that Matt is around and works at Dillon's. Both Steve Dillon and Matt Walters are wonderful people.
I tell potential students interested in studying with me at Rutgers University that there are 2 advantages: close proximity to New York City AND Dillon Music.
Bravo! Matt - you deserve the best that life has to give.
