Do you have "S" linkages and clock springs, and, if so, are you talking about the screw that holds the linkage between the two flanges (I think that's the right term) coming off the top of the rotor? If so, that "ought" to be good hardware store replaceable, and a new one, unworn by the linkage, might even reduce the "click" that tends to come with years between the linkage and the screw. I have also had some luck with other little Alex things by writing to Germany. That takes some patience, but it was also before email.
