I recently bought a horn at the brasswind, and along with it came a gig bag. The Gig bag is marked "The Brasswind/South Bend, IN", and zips up all around the side. The gig bag itself is fine, my problem is the material lining the inside of the gig bag--it seems to "shed". I've owned 3 gig bags with 3 horns in the past, and never had this problem. This particular horn is silver, and whenever I take it out of the gig bag, it's covered in black lint. It's a real pain to have to(or feel like I have to) clean down the horn everytime I take it out of the bag. my questions are as follows:

1)why's it doing this?
2) how can I make it stop? (preferably without having to buy a new bag... but is that my only option?
3)is this/can this be at all harmful to the horn?

if anyone's experienced this, has students who've experienced this, have an uncle who's experiencing this, or heard a story about an old lady experiencing this, and can give me an idea of what to do, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
