You're talking about the 3-top piston/4th side Besson, right? I play on one and am delighted with it. The silverplated models take a few minutes to warm up, but when they do, they respond VERY well. Pedal C's with the 1-3-4 combination (on the Besson compensating model tuba) sound awesome! One gripe I do have pertains to the high Eb above the staff; it just doesn't "come out" as clean as the other notes. (Does anyone know of an alternate fingering for this note?) Hope this helped!
