Yes you are correct Dale , the Holton now seems a bit lighter and brighter. I just remember with the pipe off the bell it had a very warm and big sound. Like it is now I think it has the potential to play louder more focused, but at softer dynamics it could prove to be to tight. Well just have to see. I need to spend more time with it in the orchestra. Today is my last day of practice because tomorrow I will be getting two impacted wisdom teeth out and two more out in two weeks. So tuba playing will be none existent for a short while.
