I don't know if I'm the only guy who's done this, but when I played dixieland I'd look for a place where I could move down a third or more, in one of the less crucial places and break for a quick breath there. It seems like the brain (well, mine anyway...) will fill in the sound when you do this. Any neurologists or physicists know of a reason why this is? Any psychologists think I should be in a padded cell?
