I'm not any kind of mouthpiece expert. But since I bought my 2165 from Dillon, I relied on Matt Walter's recommendation and expertise to set me up with the optimal combination. I'm glad I did and love the sound I'm getting.
I had been using a Bach 18 for every other horn I had ever owned forever. The adjustment hasn't been a big deal at all, even though the G3 is somewhat bigger than the Bach 18. It just feels real natural and right with the 2165. Good luck.
