Why does nobody talk about the MW 2141 Eb? They weren't (past tense) very good horns. They had too many intonation problems and a lathargic response. I never cared for them and rightly advised Steve Dillon not to stock them. After a couple years and a few inquiries, I asked Steve if we could order one with the expectation it might sit around the store for a bit. WRONG! They changed it for the better! At first glance it looks the same. Bell, bottom bow, and valve section are the same. The main tuning slide and the branches are different. The intonation is now very good like the Besson 983 Eb. They need to make the main tuning slide longer for us A=440 types. I have to see if Meinl Weston can get another one in the 2002 schedule for us.
