'La fille aux cheveux de (...)' definitely translates to 'The girl with/of the (...) hair.' As for 'lin', well, babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com) tells me that this word translates into 'flax' (or 'flaxen' in this context), so it looks like we have a match.
