Chuck:
how did you come to diagnose this condition?
I've had students who have had what appears to be focal dystonia, but researching the problem (I've read lots of on-line resources) has left me wondering if it couldn't just as easily be something else.
I have read about treatments for dystonia ( http://www.dystonia-foundation.org/treatment/ ) oral medications, botulinum toxin injections, and surgery. Would you consider any of these approaches?
