I'm not especially concerned with mechanics or theory at this point as much as the idea that the "copy" of lip and interior dimensions of the 2 R & S mouthpieces don't seem to be especially accurate in comparison to the originals. I haven't measured them vs. the originals, but they don't feel quite the same. However, the difference in the sound and response of the horns is significant to me and to others who have heard it, which is the real point. I don't pretend to have a theory about why my horn is vibrating so much more strongly with the R & S's, it just is.
