Mine has been to start a junior band at my local Salvation Army. Both my daughters (7 & 10) started playing cornet in June and now play 1st & 2nd cornet in the band. It has been a terrific joy to pass on my love for music to them. Perhaps one will take up tuba and start a fourth generation of pedal tones in my family.
There are 10 children (3 percussion and 7 cornets) and 5 adults (2 beginners) in this new group. Our first performance is this Sunday morning.
I am really humbled at how good God has been to me.
