You can't beat getting to play what the Top Orch is doing this year. I have worked with Larry Livingston before, and he's very entertaining. I think you'd enjoy the experience, however you have to beat everyone to get that spot...
I am a former Texas all state participant, and sometimes you can't tell much about what the judges are thinking, so it's hard to know if you'd be awarded 1st even if you are the best. Nobody can tell you what you should do...that's my opinion
