Going back to consignment for a moment...the price could be setup so that even when the shop takes their cut of between 10%-20% (probably closer to 10%) you still net $2000, or whatever amount you were looking to walk away with. In other words, factor in the consignment percentage when you are working out a price. But again, the $1500 is fast cash, e**y is a little more cash but will cost you a little bit (probably under $10), consignment means more money but involves a "shop cut," and selling on your own means the most money and no cost to you, but it also takes the longest.

I also think that $2000 would be a good number to work with. Maybe a little more if you have a case, mouthpiece, or include a gig bag. It seems like a very competitive, yet fair price.
