As one who has on occasion pushed the needle into the red zone on the suck-o-meter, I can assure you that avoidance after a performance speaks volumes in and of itself. Talking about something like the program or anything positive can lead to a discussion of the actual performance, or not. I was smart and figured out that people who didn't talk about my performance were withholding for a reason. :-)
