The 25 has been around for a long time and has an excellent track record. It has a dark tone, excellent range and response, great valves, and is built like a tank. It can be played softly or at enormous volume levels for a 4/4 horn. There are a few intonation quirks, but they can be compensated for reasonably easily. It's not a perfect horn (what is?) but it's a solid all-around BBb, and should serve you well and last a long while. I suggest that you check out the Shops link at the top of the BBS, go to the Meinl-Weston site, and check out the "more in our news" link in the MW 25 panel.

Also, Dave Fedderly is great to deal with.
