A college student who's in out local community band uses a 2145, and he gets an amazing tone out of it. It may look small, but it's a full 4/4 tuba; its size is disguised by its wrap. The sound he can get out of the pedal range of the horn is as rich as I've heard out of anything short of a monster 6/4 tuba.
