That's already done, though! Have you ever purchased any of the "Sony" products sold through Wal-Mart stores? They're generally the same products sold as "Apex" through other retailers, but at Wal-Mart you pay the "Sony" price.

back to the original subject, though, in this particular case I think the motivations were more self serving than anything else. A commercial way to become a "celebrated" tubist.. but I think that's been discussed on this board before.
