I had the same problem. I tried a number of different mouthpieces including those that you have tried. Out of desperation I threw on a Shilke 66 one day and have been using it ever since. For me (maybe not for you) it offered a nice combination of flexibility, darkness of sound, and intonation that I could work with. I also tried a Shilke 67 for a day or so but the 66 is working for me (for now!)
