Most U.S. jazzers will read the treble clef C book and transpose at sight to their instrument. Not the treble clef Bb British brass band music.

BTW, most jazzers will have the standards memorized by the timethey are playing professionally. The trick wil be for a soloist to see the chords in C, and adlib on their instrument, no matter what key the horn is in.
