I see no relation on the key of the tuba vs the key of the trombone, other than the obvious correlation between Bb instruments. They are such different animals, there is not the BBb / CC fingering kind of confusion.

Tuba: Mirafone 1290 CC large (9/8-5/4 size),4 piston 1 rotor flat wholestep
Warbuton-Neilan heavyweight mouthpiece for large ensemble (similar to AJ), Yamaha Jim Self for Quintet and solo.

Bass trombone: Holton TR-181 w/ redbrass bell, F and Flat G inline rotors
Yamaha Doug Yeo mouthpiece for most playing, may start using a Schilke 59 for Jazz Band.

Lee University Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble - Bass Trombone
Lee University Brass Quintet, Tuba
misc tuba work when I can get it; occasional students on tuba and trombone

I am actually considering getting a smaller tuba (G50, 56J, 2145?) and larger bass trombone (dual bore double thayer yellow bell?) to reflect my current playing needs. Used to own a Yamaha 621F and loved it for quintets and solos, wouldn't mind another but can't afford it right now.
