My booster president is allowing me to replace our two piece o' junk sousaphones with brass ones. He wants me to compare prices, and give him a general idea of what we are dealing with price-wise, as well as what I think would be best.
I would prefer the 20K's over anything else, but A)I don't know if the boosters will spring for that much, and B)I can't find a price anywhere. We got them when I was in high school, and I seem to remember the price being around $4000, but I can't say for sure.
Are there other sousa's that will hold there own without the cost of the 20K? Please, no calls for me to buy Jupiter sousaphones! I know how the BBS feels about them, and I wouldn't dare purchase them. Can't find prices for King either...
