I've tried a couple of these small lamps.
I found that for me they didn't work well because a) I have terrible eyesight and b) they don't tend to cover a full page or two of music very well without a hot spot. But they are easy to carry!
Granted the Lampcrafts are pricey and somewhat bulky and we generally have enough to do to lug our horns around, but I just didn't think I got good enough coverage from these small lamps.
