Yes, the 842 is top-of-the-line compensating. It's a VERY nice euphonium (step up from the 642 which is considered by many to be one of the best euph's out there). It is silver plated with gold trimmed valves, caps, buttons, and slides. I do have pictures if you are interested. I could email them to you. Are you interested in buying it?
