I tried it out last time I was there. Although I am primarily a BBb player I found it to be a nice playing horn. I don't know what to compare the sound to, but it has a lot of character. The 5th valve is a later addition, but it looks like it was well done. It's a nice American classic that is hard to come by. I understand that it comes with both the upright and recording bell. Give Matt a call and he will give you a fair assessment.
