I just got the CD of Floyd Cooley, with the DePaul University Wind Ensemble. On this disk, Mr. Cooley plays the Vaughn-Williams, Gregson, and the Strauss.
Does anyone know what horn/horns he used for these recordings? To my ears, it sounds as though he used different horns for each of these concertos. I would be interested to know if I am correct in this assessment, and to find out what he used, as well.
