I switch between a rebuilt Mt. Vernon Bach 18, a Rudolf Meinl #1, and a R & L SH II heavywall. I find the Conn Helleberg to be very uncomfortable. The Meinl is a good-sized Helleberg style mp with a well-rounded lip, and works well with false tones. No matter what mp I use, though, it's still unfocused, out of tune, and stuffy with any valve combination beyond 4+2.
