Several years ago (early 90's?)Congress passed a law allowing the sales of military band recordings. The recordings themselves are considered public domain and can be issued by any company that wants to, as I understand it. The union tried to fight it as unfair competition, but the law was passed. I was in the Airmen of Note at the time, and several of our recordings are available through a label based in Nashville I believe, but I can't remember the name of the company.
