This discussion may also be beneficial for the tuba amplification side of the house. My opinion about cabinets for longer sustained notes would be a larger driver like a 12", 15" or 18". I like the 10's for the snappy response and clean tones. Also great for percussive sounds. You might want to look into a 2x12" cabinet if it's the sound you're looking for. If you're going with the 15, I'd go for the XLT for more air moving potential. You can always dial back the extra. I'd like to know how the rig works for tuba when you've made your decision.
