The expensive stuff comes from Japan! It's difficult to find ANYTHING that is totally made in the USA. Even if it's marked 'made in the USA', it's only assembly here from foreigh components. There is a local company that imports all types of sports equipment and repackages it in boxes labelled 'Wilson', 'Spaulding', etc. I suppose the reality here is that if the stuff was made in the US it would cost three times as much at the retail end.
