Chuck, the site below is one of my favorite for unusual and historic recorings.
Search for "Bruckner" and find both the BPO/Karajan disc, but also the Furtwangler recording, either for 4 clams. Cheap!
Lots of very funky and unusual stuff, including an 11 CD compilation of Strauss' wind and chamber music.
Try searching on "Band" and watch what comes up.
