Jeff,

In addition to excercise books, many of the Pat Sheridan solos are excellent for developing the upper register. I ordered mine from Dillon Music. He offers many arrangements of melodies that, while not technically challenging, will require a well developed upper register to play musically (he does offer technically challenging arrangements as well). The arrangements typically go to F above the staff, with an occassional G. I find that playing well known melodies makes developing the high register easier. Because I know the tune and phrase, I know what the next note or phrase should sound like. They come with a piano part.

Believe me, if you order a half dozen or so and play them every day in your practice routine, you'll be well on your way to having some serious upper register chops.
