I've used both BiNak and Hetman's, but not at the same time. To use BiNak you do need to clean off all the old oil (BiNak does not play well with others). BiNak worked well for me for about 6 weeks. Then I started having some troubles with my second valve sticking. I couldn't figure it out. The only thing I could attribute it to was the fact that on my euphonium (all compensators in fact) there is a knuckle on that backside of that valve that I couldn't get to to clean out completely. I was forced to give up on BiNak.

I've been back to using Hetman's Lite Piston oil for more than a year without any problems. I really like Hetman's Lite on my Yamaha 641 euph.
