As I read Harvey's presentation:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2563436766&category=16213

he took an original King helicon, cut the bell off and remounted it with a Conn set of collars. my eyes tell me, that the body, at least the last large bow never belonged to a sousaphone. If so it would have had a ferrule right where it takes off as a tangent to the main circle. If you look at your instrument, you will notice, that the bore progression profile pre and past the collars form one organic ubity. It is impossible for me to interprete this instrument as being frankenstoned.

If you still are interested in comparing it to sousaphones of diverse other brands, the you easily can do it via the very recently (less than an hour) updated index for my brass galleries. Active hyperling given below this posting.

I certainly would læike to own your helicon, but some homes, including my condo, set some limits.
