Actually, that's a good point. "4/4" and "5/4" aren't technical descriptions, they're marketing terms. Rudi Meinl's 3/4 CC is a bigger instrument than this one, which is, apparently, considered 4/4.

It's the same everywhere. I play guitar, too. Fender amps are noted for a lovely, sparkly "clean" sound, while Marshalls are known for their satisfying distorted crunch. Kind of hallmarks for sound description -- now look at other companys' amps and count the number of amps with "Fendery clean and Marshally crunch." Then play a Marshall, a Fender, and the third amp in question. A quick and obvious illustration of how meaningless terms like this can be...
