I had one on loan in East Germany for awhile. While true that it came out of the B & S factory, it was not the same factory as it is today. That said, this one played great, kind of like a cross between a mirafone 186 and a Cervany, if that makes any sense. The horns have seemed on the heavier side,(weight not tone) to me, but that's not a bad thing. Of course this may be a totally different model. I'd say the ones that I played were pretty much "vanilla" playing and sounding horns. Hope this helps. Peace. ASG
