Greetings, all!

I'm keen to hear people's thoughts and tips re:

** music sequencing/notation programs **

What pros and cons, etc., any links to sites with downloadable demos, or
any other info you wish to share here?

I have for years used Steinberg's Cubase (version 3.1, I think) which is now
regarded as ancient, as is the computer I use it on (which is not a PC or
a Mac - but an Atari... popular with musos years ago due to its affordability,
and built in midi ports!) I enjoy the intuitive side (and ease of use)
editing sequenced tracks in Cubase, but the notation side of things is
a bit limited.

I've just bought a Pentium 3 500 and I am ready to start a whole new software collection!

I here "Finale", "Cakewalk" "Mosaic" "Notator" and other names bandied around.

I'm looking for ease and flexibility in editing both sounds and
notation... does my dream product exist?

Cheers,

CAZZ

P.S. Sorry for such a seemingly "nerdy" topic, but there must be plenty
of tuba players reading this bbs who, like me, do plenty of music
writing and arranging.
