DON"T DO IT! That horn is designed open and free just the way it is. I have not found a Mirafone yet needs to be Scooped out. Better you look to the equipment that you using with it. I'll bet your trying to get more bite on the bottom end. ?????? If thats it I'll bet your using some big assed cup mouthpiece?? No No No.... Let me know maybe I can help you out. In the mean time try a shallow cup piece with a bigger back bore and throat. maybe a Marcinkwc( aw shoot, I never could spell the guy's name!) N4 or N2.
