Neither of the mouthpieces previously mentioned were as heavy as the R&S, which nearly caused be not to post. This point was well made in regards to the Bach, which did give me reason to revisit this issue. As I do mostly quintet (CC) and brass band (Eb) playing, I don't know if the added mass would be appropriate (nor necessarily appreciated), but I am ALWAYS looking for ways to improve the tone (hey, anybody can play the notes). I'll get back on this one. Inquiring minds want to know!!
