I like the "middle of the road" comments I am seeing. I was always taught that we should strive to play with extreme clarity and a centered sound. Personally, a 4/4 instrument with a user friendly MP does the job. No matter waht you play, it should be subserviant to clarity, control, and pitch, Let's face it, no matter what you play, if you haven't got a sound, no amount of equipment is going to solve it. Seems to me we must find the horn that creates the best sound, and all it's components, and then look for that special horn that adds the special 1% we all look for. I, too, Jay, have found this discussion incredibly enlightning. Thanks, and continue to chat, I am learning droves!!!!! Hope all the rain has passed in Florida, Jay, I am from Virginia and they have had a boatload.
